Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan

Arrival in Yerevan, airport transfer and hotel check-in; rest and overnight stay. Accommodating in Yerevan.

Day 2 – Kotayk Region: Garni, Geghard & Symphony of Stones

Explore the pagan Garni Temple and the basalt columns of Garni Gorge, known as the “Symphony of Stones”. Enjoy a traditional lavash-baking experience with locals. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, carved into rock and steeped in spiritual history. Light hiking in the gorge before returning to Yerevan overnight.

Day 3 – Tavush Region: Lake Parz to Goshavank Hike

Head to scenic Parz Lake in Dilijan National Park. Begin a serene hike through lush forests leading to Goshavank Monastery, a jewel of medieval architecture. Enjoy a picnic en route. Return to Dilijan for dinner and overnight in a family-run guesthouse.

Day 4 – Gegharkunik Region to Yeghegis Valley

Depart for Lake Sevan; visit Sevanavank Monastery and enjoy a short boat ride. Lunch on local fish followed by a visit to the Mikayelyan cheese farm. Day 5 – Vayots Dzor: Smbataberd, Zorats Vank & Karahunj

From Artabuynk village, hike to the hilltop fortress of Smbataberd for panoramic views. Descend to visit Zorats Vank before heading to Sisian. En route, explore Karahunj, the prehistoric observatory often called the “Armenian Stonehenge”. Overnight in Sisian.

Day 6 – Syunik Region: Vorotan Canyon & Tatev Monastery

Begin a dramatic hike through Vorotan Canyon, visiting Mets Anapat and the striking Devil’s Bridge with its hot springs and cave pools. Ascend to the cliffside Tatev Monastery and return via the record-breaking Wings of Tatev cable car. Overnight in Goris.

Day 7 – Ararat Region: Khndzoresk, Shaki Waterfall & Noravank

Walk through Khndzoresk’s cave dwellings. Visit the scenic Shaki Waterfall, then enjoy a home-cooked meal with Areni wine tasting. Stop at Noravank Monastery and explore the 6,000-year-old Areni Cave, home to the world’s oldest winery. Return to Yerevan via the Ararat Plain.

Day 8 – Discover Yerevan

Full-day tour of Yerevan: explore Republic Square, Cascade, and Victory Park. Visit key cultural sites including the Genocide Memorial and St. Gregory Cathedral. Free time for shopping at Vernissage crafts market. Enjoy a farewell dinner with live music. Overnight in Yerevan.
